This wasn’t a planned post, but a lot of people have been asking me about these shoes lately so I thought it might be worthwhile to share them with you.

Sorry they are messy. This photo was taken on a rainy day while waiting on the subway to arrive.

I picked them up at Kenneth Cole just before Christmas and they seem to have become one of my go-to pairs of casual shoes.

They’re an all black high-top shoe that has a zipper going up each side. You can zip the zipper, but I opt to leave it partially unzipped and fold the leather down to create a fun look.

They have an over-sized tongue that that screams “put your jeans behind me,” and that’s typically the way I lean. You can also zip the zipper all the way up and put the tongue behind your pants for a more conservative look.

The city requires a lot of walking and I’ve not had issues with comfort or anything of that nature, and they seem to be holding up quite well.

Since this post wasn’t planned I don’t know the name of the shoes or have an online link, but I picked them up during a sale for around $50 ($95 or so at full price).
