It’s getting colder outside and we all want to know how to wrap up warm whilst still looking great. Nobody wants to have to wear full on cold weather gear, and the good news is that you don’t have to. Here are our top tips for keeping warm this winter, without having to resort to hiking gear.

Layer it up

Layers are our number one tip for wrapping up and looking stylish this winter. It’s so important to stay comfortable, and wearing layers is perfect if you’re going to be going in and outside etc. You need to be able to tailor your outfit to where you are and how warm it is.

Stick to the basics

Keep your layers simple to get this look down to a tee. Start with a smart polo shirt or even a long sleeved version, then layer it with warmer items. A well placed sweater or cardigan is the ideal choice for warming up a little whilst still looking on trend, then simply add a jacket or gilet to complete your outfit and feel oh-so-warm.

Choose natural fibres

Using natural fabrics is a great way to both keep warm and let your skin breathe. You want to keep the air circulating as otherwise you’ll sweat which will obviously cool you down quite quickly. Cottons, wools and other natural fabrics are sure to keep you warm and allow your skin to breathe, giving the perfect balance for your winter outfit.

Penguin tops tend to be 100% cotton so they couldn’t be better as a base layer to build your look. Team with jeans and comfortable boots to complete your winter warmer outfit and look and feel great. It’ll save you digging out those ugly hiking clothes whilst still keeping you totally toasty, whatever the weather.
