The Maxi Skirt

Ever have those nights where you’re getting ready to meet with friends and just find yourself SICK of everything you already have in your closet?

You may be sifting through tons and tons of clothes thinking “I have nothing to wear.”

When I’m having one of these moments, I remember that I have a nice collection of long, flowing maxi skirts. These are an outfit saver, and I encourage you to have at least one in your wardrobe for when you’re looking to remix an outfit you’ve worn in the past.

Since you’re covering up all the leg action on the bottom, pair with a crop top or sleeveless shirt to keep the interest. You’re gonna need something warm over it to get you where you’re going, so throw on a cropped moto jacket and you are all set. Pile on accessories or keep it bare as’s all dependent on your mood and personal style.

P.S.  Maxi’s are also great for twirling on the dance floor after a few drinks 😉

    Love it

EXCELLENT colour. Seasonal but not drab at all!

Can I ask, too, how the shoulder-holes feel? I like the style but do they wear awkwardly?

    • Ava

Claire – The shoulder holes aren’t awkward at all! The soft cotton is very moveable..I had my arms up and all over the place and they were just fine :)

Nice! I wish you’d have done probably three different looks to go with the Maxi skirt and other things in your wardrobe though. In addition to the cut out, what about a sheer chiffon top, or a halter? I don’t know, but you’re encouraging me to give maxi skirts a try.

wow…The skirt looks really comfortable it seems…The material itself shows about its features and the top is also nice cuts over the sleeve….
