Street Style Photography: Casual Day

Welcome to today’s street style photography post.

In short, the weather last weekend in New York City was absolutely amazing. As in, couldn’t have been much better amazing. And when that happens fashion quickly evolves in the city, and you quickly start to see more and more skin.

Some of the photos I’ll share with you this week will make you say, “People really where that” and “Is she really wearing that like that?!” Enjoy the shots for today. And remember, if you’d like to have these delivered to your Inbox, subscribe to get our email updates.

He’s partially in the shadows of Crosby St., but take a look at his cutoff jean jacket. And don’t overlook the girl with the bike. This is a staple look for many NYC females. But hold on, we’re not done with her just yet.

When she walked by I wasn’t expecting this in the back. Also, when you add the couple to the left in the mix, there’s a lot going on in this shot.

You don’t see pant legs like this all that often.

Do you think I was taking a snap of the three guys, or the girls tattoo sitting on the left?

I’d like to say I was taking a photo of her round sunglasses and not a continuation of my obsession with (stylish) females riding, but that wouldn’t be the truth.

This is the same girl from above. Her shoes weren’t in focus, but you can get an idea of what they look like.

Peachy.

It’s only right to include a shot of a guy and a bike. But I’m curious about this shot – was he ever going to ride the bike?

A little rock and a little country.

More jean jackets.

You must be carrying/riding a skateboard to wear these jean shorts. Let’s consider that a new rule.

We’re just going to have to wonder which model this was. I didn’t feel comfortable asking for a proper photo because she didn’t have on a bra and things were all over the place. Yes, those things.

Really, Ryan?  You’re going to tease us with that last comment on the final picture and NOT give us a frontal!?!?  Come on, you’re losing it.

KC, if I could catch a candid shot that’s one thing, but I’d never want to come across as a creeper. There’s a fine line and I’d like to stay on the right side of it. :)

Painful for us, but the right choice, I agree.

About that ‘staple look’ for NYC females… it irks me when women don’t wear the right type of bra with their shirt. There are racerback bras for racerback shirts! Argh!

The “staple” refers to the skirt and tank. The exposed bra look has been around for a bit and is 100% done on purpose.
