Street Style Fashion: Fashion Week Begins

Welcome to today’s street style fashion post.

I was able to make it to Lincoln Center for about 30 minutes to snap some shots, and have some fun fashion for you to see today. I hope to go back and take more photographs on Saturday and Sunday, but that will depend on how the little snowstorm we’re getting impacts the weekend.

As always, feel free to share the images on your favorite social network. To pin a photo simply hover over the image and click the “Pin It” button that appears in the top right corner.

Enjoy the shots!

Mixing textures and pulling it together with the necklace. FE7A9853

There’s the furry bag, the tights, and lets certainly not overlook the Michael Jackson inspired gloves. Now, give me your best MJ, “He he.” FE7A9855

She was on the move but her bag was bonkers! And is it just me or does it have a face? I clearly see two eyes and a mouth. Right?! FE7A9866

I partially missed this shot, but click the image to enlarge it so you can appreciate it. I love how the doors sort of frame her. FE7A9873

It’s more about the sunglasses. FE7A9880

Wonder if Michael Jackson is somehow getting royalties off of the glove trend? FE7A9884

I really enjoyed her look. It’s also a good lesson in balancing busy and conservative items. Great sunglasses by the way. FE7A9892 Here’s another one you have to click to enlarge to fully appreciate. And certainly don’t overlook her green bag. This one’s going on the wall.

The cape! Ryan: You’ve probably answered this question multiple times: Do you get permission? Do you get releases? Some people look aware that you are shooting, others do not. And believe me, I love the treat of NYC eye candy all the way over here in my Honolulu cube. Stay warm, Sweetie!

Paula, great to hear from you. No, I don’t get releases signed. Shots are taken in public domain, and specifically for Fashion Week, these people 100% know there photo is being taken.
