With the weather quickly heating up on us, my mind is already on my favorite white pants. Of course, they need to be jazzed up with a few new shirts. Recently in Banana Republic I tried on my favorite striped and plaid options for white.
The first shirt I tried was a tan color button-up with white plaid stripes, perfect to pair with white for a nice crisp spring look. The soft-washed fitted plaid shirt comes in a few other shades, namely blue and purple and retails for $64.50.I was drawn to the shirt for the symmetrical double pockets as well as the color scheme. In store the shirt is pre rolled at the sleeve and gives a nice 3/4 look.
The other option I liked, which definitely has a slightly more relaxed vibe, was a half cotton blend ombre stripe henley. The shirt comes in three colors: white with blue, green, or fuchsia. The colored stripes darken in color shade progressively down the shirt. It’s not noticeable at first but is a nice touch when you begin to examine the shirt detail. The light material and ¾ length sleeve make this option ideal for spring and the color scheme make it perfect to pair with white. The henley is $39.50.
