If you don’t live in New York City the idea of not having a dining room table to eat at probably seems silly.

But that’s a reality for many that live in this city, and was the case in our last apartment, and in fact, has been my experience since moving to the city.

So when we moved apartments earlier this year, one thing on my wishlist was to have enough space for a dining room table.

We were fortunate enough to make that happen, and the table we ended up getting is one of my favorite things in our apartment.

Screen Shot 2013-06-28 at 6.29.44 AMAs you can see it’s mostly wood and has an iron support system.

I can’t remember exactly, but the wood is from an old barn or something along those lines and no two tables are exactly alike. Cool right?

The table is from ABC Carpet & Home and it wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but it’s a staple and something we will have for a while… and besides all of that, I just love it. So it was worth a few extra pennies.

You might also notice the white dining chairs. They aren’t conventional, but they add a nice touch of elegance to a somewhat rustic looking table.

Hope you enjoyed this little look inside our space.
