Men’s Fashion: Get the Trend: Destroyed Denim is Back

An intervention might be needed in the near future.

Why?

Because I think I’ve become addicted consumed obsessed way too interested in finding great men’s jeans and shoes.

In regards to jeans, I’m keeping an eye out for soft denim that can be worn a lot and take the beating of the amount of walking done in the city. But since I didn’t find THAT pair over the weekend, I wanted to share this great pair of AG jeans (The Protege – 15 years destroyed) with you.

Yes, those jeans with holes that you tossed out a couple years ago, they are back in style. One disclaimer about these is that I’m wearing a size 31, because the store didn’t have a32 in stock. The 31 technically fits, but it’s a bit tight in certain areas for my liking.

Nice fit down through the legs. Like all designer jeans, these come in a 34 length; for these shots I have the excess rolled up underneath.

It was either this pose or a photo of me looking really goofy.

A nice overall distressed look.

This was actually my first time ever wearing a pair of AG jeans, and thus far I’m pretty impressed. This particular pair felt like they could take a beating, but didn’t have that super uncomfortable raw denim feel. The color is a bit throwback, but with the distressed styling and the holes, it worked quite well. In fact, many of the jeans I’m seeing in stores – even women’s – with holes in them tend to be this color, or close to it.

If you noticed the name of the jeans earlier in the post you may have noticed the “15 years destroyed” mention. AG has six ranges in this specific pair of jeans that range from 2, 4, 7, 8, 15 and 17 years destroyed.

In store the jeans were priced at $235, but you can click here to get them on sale on Zappos (as of this writing) for $185! If you routinely buy designer jeans you’ll know that’s a great price and won’t hesitate to scoop them up.
