While going around the web, I found this wonderful pic of this season’s color palette.
A part from the beautiful drawings, these colors are exactly what I’ve been seeing in the shops for the past weeks.
Some of them are certainly not new, like army green or bright purple – I am pretty sure last fall we all got something that is still in our closet waiting to be worn again!
But what’s interesting are the yellows, coral reds and light blues – typically summer-ish colors right?
I was trying to think about a way to combine some of these brights with basic fall shades – brown, black, cream, navy blue – and I immediately remembered Burberry A/W 11 collection and their leather patent belts, like these ones:
Though if you are going for something stronger, try pairing a mustard or coral dress with black tights and shoes for a mod mood. This dress from H&M is an example:
Whatever your style is (military, dandy, romantic, modern, gyspy) this color palette will walk you go through fall and winter with a smile on your face, leaving behing neon color blocking and bringing on green, earth tones and brights that remind us of spices.
