Loving the Nike Flyknit Lunar 1+

-1

I’m starting to develop a small shoe addiction. And I’m mixing shoes with outfits that I wouldn’t normally wear them with. I used to hate wearing tennis shoes (Note: I call all active shoes tennis shoes.) with anything but active wear, but for one reason or another I’ve evolved on that principle.

The Nike Free has been a very popular shoe for the last few years, primarily due to comfort and color options, but today I have to introduce you to the Nike Flyknit Lunar 1+. They are flat out awesome! Take a look below.

The Maxi Skirt

fashion blog fashables

Ever have those nights where you’re getting ready to meet with friends and just find yourself SICK of everything you already have in your closet?

You may be sifting through tons and tons of clothes thinking “I have nothing to wear.”

When I’m having one of these moments, I remember that I have a nice collection of long, flowing maxi skirts. These are an outfit saver, and I encourage you to have at least one in your wardrobe for when you’re looking to remix an outfit you’ve worn in the past.

Prepare for the Unexpected

FE7A8592

New Yorkers: busy bees with too many things penciled into the schedule and not enough time to get it all done! Often times we leave in the morning with only a few errands in mind, yet find ourselves bursting through the apartment door many hours later. That’s just the way the cookie crumples. Gridlock traffic, meetings lasting longer than expected..anything can throw the day’s plans off.

Dare to be Different

FE7A8345

Ahh. The last few days of the perfect Fall weather. Man, are we hanging onto them. After a hurricane and a snowstorm, New Yorkers are out and about every chance we get until Winter casts it’s freezing spell on us once and for all. It’s those few days to show off your favorite sweaters, accessorize for style rather than warmth, sit on a bench and people watch, walk the Brooklyn Bridge (we’ll step OUT of our fashionable footwear for that one). It’s time to get it all in while we can!

Two Great Buys During a Trip to Joe’s Jeans

the skinny - printed denim - joes jeans

Have you ever had a moment where you felt like none of your jeans were fitting correctly? If not, it’s no fun, and it happened to me last weekend. It’s as if I wanted to throw out all of my jeans – not at all practical – and start over.

I’ve always needed a little extra room in the butt and thigh areas, and for some reason the jeans that have worked for sometime, all of the sudden didn’t. I’m not gaining weight, but Crossfit very well may be making my legs get a bit bigger, which isn’t exactly a good thing. And you have to keep in mind that my style tends to put comfort before a good look. You’ll never catch me in an outfit that isn’t remotely comfortable.

Anyway, my girlfriend and I hit a few stores in search for a new pair of jeans, and we eventually settled on Joe’s Jeans in SoHo. A quick look at out visit and what was purchased is below.

Introducing The Home T

FE7A6247

I’ve always thought it would be a ton of fun to make t-shirts, and today I’d like to introduce you to The Home T by Fashables.

It’s an incredibly simplistic design that features the boundary of a state, and the word “Home.” in the middle. I love it, and I hope you do as well. 15% of all proceeds will be donated to multiple sclerosis research. Take a look at the home t below.

Four Great Finds at J.Crew

womens fashion fashables

Over the last year or so I’ve started liking J.Crew more and more, for both men and women. I’m not sure if it’s because my lifestyle has changed a bit, if their designs are getting better, or what, but I tend to dig em’.

While in Naples, Florida last weekend we did a little shopping, and just so happened to have popped in a J.Crew store.

Thankfully for my bank account it was a women’s only store, but they had a lot of great things and there are four items I thought you might like to see.

Inexpensive Style at Target

target fashion 1

I love Target, and like most women, when I go, I have to check out (almost) everything!

I was recently cruising through and was shocked to find an amazing selection of fun and trendy sunglasses all for under $20! For someone like me who scratches, sits on and flat out abuses sunglasses this was a dream come true! AND, they had cute, cheap sunglass cases too!

The Perfect Sheer Top Bra

-1

I’m Ryan. I’m a guy. And I’m here to tell you about “the perfect” sheer top bra.

Keep in mind that I’ve never worn a bra and am completely unqualified to tell you about one… but I’m going to do so anyway. Cool?

While in Rochester last weekend I popped in a clothing store and one of the employees was wearing the Mixed Prints Longline Bra from Anthropologie and it looked fantastic! Here are a few shots of the bra. Note: I somewhat know the person at the store so don’t think I went up to some random woman and said, “I like your bra. Mind if I take a photo of your chest.”

Ivory Lace Fun

-1

With all the lace dresses floating around, with and without liners and slips there is always a question of what and how to best where it.

I found a great little lace number at Urban Outfitters this week (in the sale section; if you haven’t been go now!). Now this nude/ivory color is a little hard to work with but it also makes it very versatile.

Cool Feet. Hot Shoes!

I was killing time in Target while waiting to pick my BFF up from the airport and stumbled upon this great collection of shoes by Mossimo. I was shocked at how sexy, affordable, trendy and comfortable they were.

Here are a few of my faves! I actually purchased the black Pallas and wore them out and about the entire day. I felt super chic AND they were comfortable!

The Perfect Summer Sperry’s

JCrew Sperry

Two of my favorite brands paired up together this summer for fun boat shoes sure to catch the eyes of those who pass you by!

The collection is on par with the neon and metallic looks that have been on-trend, on the streets and in the magazines. There’s five or six colors available in the Sperry Top-Sider so you have lots of options to choose from. As I have the neon pink Cambridge Satchel I opted for a pair of the same colored Sperry’s in Cerise. The coral and teal shades were also very enticing so you’ll want to check them out!
