I tend to get up absurdly early, which means I spend many mornings on vacation wandering around and doing things before others wake up.
For instance, yesterday I went on a walk in the town of Southampton before anything was really open or anyone I’m on vacation with was up. This post features a few snaps from along the way as well as a few of when I made it back to the house.
Let’s go for a little walk…
There’s greenery everywhere, which is really nice when you live in New York City; the land of concrete.
I’m guessing this means you can’t walk around without a shirt on.
The town of Southampton isn’t huge, but it’s cute factor is definitely a 10. It’s quaint, but most certainly packs a punch.
There’s a good number of shops and they all seem to stay pretty busy; something that’s not always normal for small towns. But let’s be honest… this isn’t your average small town.
Seriously? And yes, I picked them up and put them in the trash.
You’re looking at a beachfront house that also appears to have a guest-house, pool and a tennis court. $26 million.
Need a shopping fix after hitting the beach for the day? Not a problem.
What’s in focus might not always be the focal point.
I thought this gate was pretty interesting. What’s fascinating about some of the larger homes – as in Steven Spielberg large – is that they sit very far back from the road and the grounds are blocked by walls of shrubs to create privacy.
Back at the house and ready to hop in the pool.
The pool, along with a pool/guest house.
My serious look as I contemplate how to do the perfect cannonball.
Who are we kidding, this is my preferred camera face. Good times are certainly to be had this week.
