It’s supposed to be in the 60’s Thursday – Saturday in New York City, which has me very excited. My closet is slowing transitioning from winter to spring and I totally should have take a before and after photo; the blacks and greys are now being overwhelmed by bursts of color.
Speaking of color, I thought you might like this J. Crew Cecilia dress (retro orange). It has two very important things for this season: color and pleats(!).
It’s fitted up top, but quickly flares out at the hips and should be flattering to a variety of body types. Other design elements worth mentioning are the small dots (subtle) on the fabcric, the fact that it’s sleeveless and has a bow that ties at the waist.
Now let’s talk about this bow. I’m girlie, but the bow is really girlie, and not something I’d typically wear. In fact, I almost didn’t try this dress on because of it, but did, and after moving the bow off center and putting on a super cute pair of shoes it seemed to work.
By far, what I like the most about the dress is the cut and the color, it’s simply radiant.
The J. Crew Cecilia dress is reasonably priced at $158 and can be bought online by clicking here.
